The main cast members of ghost – end of night include Mayu Hotta as Neekei and Issei Takahashi as Masu (character name romanization is still unknown).

ghost – end of night opens in theaters in Japan on February 11, 2027.

Shingo Natsume directed the film and wrote the script. Manga editor Natsume Ono is in charge of the original character designs and Norifumi Kugai will design the characters for animation. The film will mark Natsume’s first time directing an anime film, as he’s previously worked on series such as One Punch Man and Space Dandy.

Alternative rock band hitsujibungaku performs the film’s theme song and the insert song “Sugar.”

Bandai Namco Filmworks describes the series as follows, via its official website:

I want to know what is ＜real＞.

Set in the near future where labor is no longer necessary, this is the story of Neekei, a girl who continues seeking the “real” while resisting the order of a content society.
