After acquiring Electronic Arts at the start of August, the Saudi Arabia Public Investment Fund is reportedly considering merging it with Savvy Games. Reports also suggest that this likely won’t occur until after Savvy completes its acquisition of Moonton.

Per an exclusive report by Bloomberg on September 10, 2026, Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund is considering a merger between Electronic Arts and Savvy Games. The investment fund had recently acquired EA alongside Silver Lake and Affinity Partners.

The merger between EA and Savvy would see titles such as Battlefield, Pokemon Go, Pikmin Bloom, and Apex Legends all existing under one umbrella. Cecilia D’Anastasio and Dinesh Nair of Bloomberg note that those close to the matter state this is unlikely to occur until after Savvy finishes acquiring Moonton, a purchase that has amounted to $6 billion.

After the EA acquisition deal went through at the start of August, EA appointed David Tinson as chief operating officer while Cam Weber was named chief studio officer. This wasn’t the only major acquisition to occur recently, as Nexus Mods acquired SteamDB and NVIDIA is gearing up to acquire Hugging Face.
