Scalable Video Switch (SVS) In Stock September 5th

Arthrimus has just announced that the SVS will be back in stock Saturday September 5th at 5PM NYC time. All modules should be available, including the transcoders that were previously released, as well as the brand new BNC Output and D-Terminal Input Modules. So if you’ve been waiting to piece together a custom switch, now’s the time! People who placed their pre-orders through Castlemania Games should be receiving theirs about the same time as well.

Arthrimus also talked about future stock plans – They now have a huge stockpile of parts, so if this restock sells out there will be another restock at either the end September or the beginning of October. Going forward, they’re hoping to hit a monthly cadence for the restocks going forward, until there’s (near) permanent stock of all modules.

At some point in the next few months, I’ll be doing a livestream where I switch my “HD CRT Cart” over to the SVS. I’m looking forward to walking through the whole process in real-time, including both assembly and software configuration. And of course, I’m interested to see how it works with my very finnicky multisync CRT! If you’d like more info right now, check out this video from My Life In Gaming: – It’s from last year, but is still accurate as to its performance and what to expect:
