Virtual Boy “Mr Cart” In Stock

Stone Age Gamer now has stock of the “Mr Cart” – A ROM Cart for the Nintendo Virtual Boy. The Mr Cart is more of a traditional ROM cart that lets you load games onto a MicroSD and select them from the VB’s screen/controller. It’s compatible with all original and homebrew games. The price is $250 and both the Black and Red versions are available. More info below the links:

I love that there’s options available for the Virtual Boy and the Mr Cart is awesome for people just looking for a reliable ROM cart. Load times range from about ten seconds to a minute depending on game size, but like with other ROM carts, re-loading the last game you loaded to flash is instant. So overall, this is a great choice.

That said, if you’re looking for something a bit different, the HyperBoy 32+ is a single-flash Virtual Boy ROM cart with an eInk screen. That means you can only load one game at a time, via a PC and the USB port…but after loading, the eInk screen displays the game’s artwork. They’re both similarly priced and in-stock, so check out both to see which fits your needs better: https://retrorgb.link/hyperboy32plus
